directly above the village
Marked by prayer flags, this is the spot where the teacher of the Dalai Lama passed away in the 1980s - a house set apart from the rest of the village. Apparently this was the Sarkhong Rimpoche of Tabo monastery, and his reincarnation is the new Sarkhong Rimpoche, a young man who visits this spot periodically, as well as the surrounding villages.
